Celebrating all things “green” along the Chicago River
What better way to celebrate a great day of work than with a fabulous party.
The Chicago River Festival, immediately following the morning workday, will be held at the Chicago Park District’s River Park. Bisected by the North Branch of the Chicago River, River Park is the ideal location to celebrate all things “green” happening along the Chicago River. River Park is located at 5100 N. Francisco in Chicago.
The Chicago River Day Festival is a great time to meet fellow friends of the Chicago River.
Festival-goers come from across the watershed to celebrate their hard work with music, dancing, games, educational activities and a great barbeque. Schools, community groups, families and more all come together to enjoy a wonderful day along the Chicago River.
Friends encourages volunteers and the general public to attend the Chicago River Festival on May 10th. All outdoor enthusiasts, river lovers and any interested people are encouraged to attend this festival to learn more about the Chicago River and more about Friends.
Chicago River Day t-shirts
Event t-shirts will be distributed FREE to volunteers at sites before the workday begins. Anyone attending the festival can purchase an official Chicago River Day t-shirt for $10.00 that afternoon.
