Member and Volunteer Celebration February 2
We are reimagining Friends’ Annual Meeting in an effort to make this annual gathering less of a meeting and more a celebration of the members, volunteers and partners who’ve done amazing work together to improve and protect the Chicago-Calumet River system this year.

Join us on Thursday, February 2, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. for a happy hour downtown with beautiful views of our river. Like before, the highlight of this event is the presentation of annual awards given out to the River Champion who’s gone above and beyond in their work, the Spirit of the River whose efforts, character, and enthusiasm most embody the spirit of the river, and the Volunteer of the Year Award! It’s always great to meet, mingle and share stories with other members, volunteers and board members. We will continue to host our Question and Answer session as well, so bring your questions on anything from turtle habitat, to paddling, to policy. Food and drinks are on the house.
Attendance is open to members and volunteers (active in the past 18 months). Registration is required. This is an adults-only event. On this Groundhog’s Day, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the past season, cheering on the award winners, and getting excited for spring!
