Friends of the Chicago River is proud to host our annual Student Poster Contest to inspire action to improve our rivers and communities by creating a Litter Free Chicago-Calumet River system. The theme of this year's poster contest is "Taking Action for a Litter Free River," and celebrates the upcomign 33rd annual Chicago River Day on Saturday, May 10.
With the support of WM, the contest is free and open to all Chicagoland youth ages 8 to 18. This year's winning and honorable mention posters will be displayed at Friends' McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum during the 2025 season.
