The Big Jump & Chicago River Festival

Tags: Attend

Join us in the morning to watch The Third Annual Big Jump! which highlights efforts to improve the river’s water quality and demonstrates our commitment to making the Chicago River swimmable for all.

We know many of you probably want to jump in with us,
but members of the public are not allowed to jump or swim at the event.

You are welcome to come out and watch the Big Jump and cheer everyone on! The Big Jump happens at 9:00 a.m., so come by around 8:30 a.m. to find a spot to watch.

Then slide right into the first-ever Chicago River Festival for on-the-water fun, river centric programming, food, and drink at one of the city's most celebrated river-edge parks, Ping Tom Memorial Park. It's free and family-friendly.

Event partners are: Chicago Park District, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, REI, and the Chicago Water Taxi
