Welcome Kathryn Mauery

Friends of the Chicago River is pleased to welcome Kathryn Mauery to the team as development associate where she will be an integral part of Friends’ development and fundraising efforts. Kathryn joins Friends from the Environmental Law and Policy Center where she worked as the Development Intern.

 A Park Ridge native, Kathryn attended Loyola University Chicago where she received her bachelor’s degree in environmental policy. While attending Loyola, Kathryn developed a passion for environmental health and justice, particularly in the Midwest, due to an in-depth research project about climate change and beach erosion along the southwest coast of Lake Michigan, and her study of the Chicago River’s water quality.
