The Moon Was Bright at the Sunset Soiree

Moonlight made the Chicago River sparkle at Thursday’s Sunset Soiree at Friends’ Bridgehouse Museum. Hosted by The Otter Society Committee, the Soiree celebrated the generosity of Friends’ top donors. Otter Society members provide year-over-year support for Friends, making it possible for us to concentrate on the complex problems the river system faces and to respond in real-time when new ones arise.

“Friends is humbled by the generosity of our Otter Society members,” said Craig Coit, past board president and current Otter Society Committee Chair. “In just a few short years the membership has grown to more than 100 individuals, family foundations, and corporations who are willing to commit to our ideals and ideas. Their support is having a tangible and permanent impact on the river system to the benefit of people and wildlife, and how the river system supports a water-based economy.”

Friends encourages those interested in finding out more about the Otter Society and its special programs and benefits to contact Annie Hanrahan at ahanrahan@chicagoriver.org.
